Instead of guessing how much a SIP will grow to, this tool works backwards from your goal. You enter the amount you want to accumulate and the time you have, and it tells you the exact monthly SIP required to get there at your expected rate of return. It is the reverse of a normal SIP calculation.
Normal SIP keeps the same monthly amount for the whole tenure. Step-Up SIP lets you start smaller and increase the monthly amount by a fixed percentage each year — useful if you expect your income to rise. In step-up mode, the “Required Monthly SIP” shown is your starting instalment.
To reach a ₹50,00,000 goal in 15 years at an expected 12% return with a Normal SIP, you would need about ₹9,909 per month (₹17,83,676 invested; ~₹32,16,324 from compounding). With a 10% annual Step-Up SIP, you could start at just ₹5,758 per month and increase it 10% each year — reaching the same goal with about ₹21,95,281 invested. The chart shows your invested amount and the growing corpus climbing toward the goal.
